Is the field of ethics a scam? How can you even defend objective

If someone wants to autistically create some sort of ethical system I don't care at all. Feel fucking free.

But yes OP, there are infinitely many possible ethical systems. Why is the idea of an "objective morality" even taken seriously? Dishonest and financially (and attentionwise) people, such as taxpayer funded (or book sale funded) academics. Or maybe many years ago it was dishonest and authoritarian religious people
