What are your thoughts on Story of the Eye?
I liked the repeated themes of eyes/eggs and urine/milk/tears/semen, but the whole story kind of felt pointless. I don't understand *why* he would write it. Any thoughts?

why should anyone write anything?
are you looking for a moral to the story?
do you think authors need to be making a "point"?
>>
it was pretty hot, i jerked off to the first orgy where they locked that one girl in a cupboard

Meh, that was weird and it involved vomit iirc. Although the asylum scene or whatever it was where one of the characters suddenly gets naked while sneaking around got to me.

I don't think he necessarily needs a point, per se, but I'm not sure what the book was about. It's not really an exploration of perversion because there's its all stated so matter of factly without any development. They murder a guy while having sex with him and hey just continue on their merry way. There's not even really a descent into perversion. One of the first things they do is have a bloody vomit filled orgy that drives a girl mad.
>>
This sounds like a book I have to read.
>>

You can do it in like an hour. It's really short. Good luck finding a library that carries it though
>>

I wanted to masterbate to it, but his descriptions were so perfunctory and short that it was hard to turned on. Unless you cum as fast as the narrator I guess.

ebook is on mobilism

There is the afterword from the author that explains why he wrote it.

He says it was for him a cathartic experience akin to being in analysis, where he analyzed his drives and fantasies and recast his theological concerns in his libidic life one (the story of his father stinking like piss, the story of his brother dressed as a ghost as he is trying to fuck his friend or something like that).

It's a great piece of expression and of management of surrealist techniques without the ridiculous affectations and childish fantasies (while still being playful).

I think it's a sad thing though that readers today always look for a reason. Text is used as a way only to convey information and not perceived in its beautifulness, ability to stimulate, and excite. Seriously fuck our obsession with plot and character.

It's hilarious more than anything. It exposes how absurd and hilarious sexuality, when taken to its extreme, can become. Honestly I see it as moralistic, even though I'm sure Bataille would disagree.
>>
>>9586568
But that's because you value respectability. Looking serious, professional, virtuous. Naturally sex is debauchery, extreme pleasure is beastly, it deletes the ego.

And there is nothing bad in that. Some people can't stand the shame of being naked at sex parties, while others love the hilarity of wearing women underwear and make up and kiss anyone who desires to be kisses.
>>
Btw Bataille got me into orgies when I was 20 and it's the best thing ever..,
>>
>>9586682
Please tell me, how do I get into orgies?
>>
>>9586568
>implying sexuality isn't hilarious and absurd even at it's most elementary level

You're literally putting a flesh popsicle into a wet cavity.
>>
The conclusion I've come to about Bataille and Blanchot is that they jerk off way too much and read Nietzsche.

By all means prove me wrong.

>>9586682
Well...fuck. I guess I wasn't wrong.
>>
>>9586613
I disagree. I think sex inflates the ego dramatically, and the humor comes from a subconscious realization of this. People who take sex very seriously, I think, are psychotic. When you laugh at sex, you are popping the balloon.... Although the ego is less like a balloon than grass, which, when cut, instantly grows back again.

Google snctm if you have a lot of money.

Poor guys usually get into them by dating sex workers, pornstars, models etc

I got into them by dating an instagram model who was also as a sugar baby

no on the contrary, hedonism is egotism, but normies think that hedonism is only going away from body pains to body pleasures, whereas it is this + the realm of the thoughts, ideas, inferences, ie the realm of the imagination
