Reminder that the greatest writers were all (without fail) poets who transitioned into prose and that to write good prose you must study poetry

>the greatest writers write good prose
>not defining greatness in terms of intellectual and philosophical wisdom
>>
>>9576591
>thinking your can reach sublimity through anything but poetry
>>
>>9576591
child, literature is not philosophy wrapped up in a story, please kys
>>
>>9576596
The only thing poetry has over prose is how consice its supposed to be.
Saying so much in so little.
Makes sense to work on being as consice as possible in presenting your ideas first.
>>
>>9577646
This makes me doubt as to weather you actually grasp the meaning of literature or of philosophy possibly both.
>>
poetry is fucking gay and useless. just like you
>>
>>9577672
how old are you?
>>
>>9576351

I have no problem with this. Studying poetry will make you more sensitive to word choice, syntax, structure, and rhythm, and good prose is very specific about the choices in those areas.
>>
>>9577669

man. i can't believe you thought it was a good idea to post this.
>>
>>9577863
I like to defy expectations contantly
>>
The grammar of poetry's things, not (as in philosophy) abstractions.
