Pynchon will die in his late eighties - 2024 is my best guess. Knowing the guy, he probably has thousands pages of unpublished material which is as good as his main works but very episodic and unconnectable to the greater narrative. So, even when he leaves us, you'll have a ginat "Book of Tangents" or something.
