What does /lit/ do when they encounter a word they don't know the meaning of?
I like to look up the definition, and write it down in a word document

Have you just began to read recently, or just young?
Most of these aren't even "that" correct dude. Where are you pulling these definitions from? Also >>9449123

I own a kindle... If I don't know a word, I can see it's definition simply by pressing on it.

I do the same thing OP. Typing out the definitions helps me retain the information and allows me to easily refer back to them in case I forget.
I have to say though, it seems like some of your definitions are a little off. For example, doesn't artifice involve trickery or deceit in some way? Maybe your definition of artifice is correct according to your dictionary but I don't think people really use it in the way you defined. I recommend corroborating with another dictionary when looking up definitions just to make sure you really understand the word.
