I am about half way through the first volume, and I want to know /lit/'s opinion on Proust and just Romanticism in general. I am new to the board, so where should I go from here?

Proust is a modernist.
Anyways, ISoLT is what you go to after other stuff, not vice versa. it's seven volumes of God-tier literature.
If you like Proust try Woolf(Dalloway, Lighthouse, Waves, Orlando) as well as Joyce(Dubliners, Portrait, Ulysses)
