I am not a writer.
A perfectly mentally well person (or a normie if you will) can't ever be a great writer. They don't have the necessary experience to be a great writer. They don't have any unique, interesting insights into the human condition. This leads to mind numbingly average literature. They don't have anything to draw inspiration from.
Fear not, though, since even if you are a normie, a traumatic experience might turn you into a good writer. That happened a lot in the 20th century.

This is sadly accurate. Usually it's depression about the world and the love of "the good old days"

Most people who are mentally fucked up aren't that way because they were born weird in the head.
They're fucked up in the head because they tons of traumatic shit in their lives, and hence, generally also have interesting things to say.
Raymond Radiguet wasnt either just some 20 something that died. More of just a jodieboy compared to anything else.
I feel less creative when I'm on my antidepressant (sertraline) and I've read this is the case for others as well. I believed that depressed artists was just a meme until I experienced this for myself.
