If you have physical imperfections you are supposed to become a studious recluse, instead Sartre pandered to pre-GodlessAge fedoras which included ugly females(feminists) that would give him affection.

They are two separate concepts. In his conference "Existentialism is a humanism" Sarte explains that there's not such thing as human nature because there is no god who thought about it before he created the human being. In this conception the existence preced the essence so there is no inherent meaning in life and you have to search your own one. Now we have the Man who have to achieve this goal of giving meaning to existence. Sartre says that meanwhile there is not a "human nature" there is a "human condition" that is not getting any better. The Man is how Sartre names the individual space that every man have and by every man have to start to philosophizing and act. He starts from the cartesian doubt "Cogito ergo sum" and concludes that we can and must act but we don't have the certain of reach any of our aims. This the so named condition of the Man.
