It actually is though. The only real difference is that with books you have to imagine the characters and setting, but essentially its the same thing. TV shows, movies, and even radio shows are basically books but more automatic (with books you have to manually go through the information). The fact that reading books requires just a little bit more of an attention span and imagination doesn't mean that it's inherently better than watching movies.
