This anon got the right idea.
Life's to short to spend on 300 pages out of fucking politeness.
I've only received one book gift ever and it ended up being great. My parents bought me an intro to philosophy book at a time when I didn't really read. After reading that book I ended up reading on my own.

This remind me, a site I ordered a book from was giving a free book with each purchase. I got a Madonna biography or some shit. Wtf
