What does /lit/ think of Robert Browning? I think that the Victorian era was generally a pretty shit era for poetry, but Browning was easily the best poet of his generation.

I've only read three of those poems in which he puts himself in the voice of a historical figure, plus a few other short lyric ones.
He was a genius. I've learned from him.
