I've read so many books, but not one has helped me with my depression for any length of time and none of them have altered my view on life fundamentally enough to make it liveable. It feels like I have to kill myself like the entitled, weak brat that I am.
I've decided to read one more short story before I do it. Which one would you recommend?

Go back to /r9k/, you worthless frogposting piece of subhuman shit
If you're serious OP, then you have to understand that you have a mental illness that is not going to be helped by any sort of book. It is a chemical imbalance that can be fixed with medicine and/or therapy. I was depressed for many years, convinced that it was an existentialist issue or something, completely unaware that it was just an illness. Seeing a doctor is the first step.

Also worth nothing that there is far more to therapy than just sitting and talking to some schmuck about your problems. Look up cognitive behavioral therapy.
