Any English grads here?
What should I do now I've graduated? Should I go to China and teach them the white man's language? Or should I hold down a shitty job while I write my novel?
Should I study english if I'm not a native

You shouldn't get your advice from strangers on the internet.

Where else?
Consider suicide.

I'm graduating next year, planning on teaching for a couple years after, first Asia then maybe Europe if I can find a job there.
I figure the experiences will provide me with plenty of inspiration for my writing.

Don't go to China. Go to Cambodia or Vietnam.
Go to hell.

Get a small business loan and open up a food truck in a year round tourist area or a city desu. Read during downtime.

>acquired a skill through youth, which I continue to practice. No regret at all having gone the English route (doubled in History\minored in German)-- grad in English, too. If fortune is a concern, one shouldn't go the Liberal Arts route. It was no concern of mine. If I can pay my bills, I'm fine. It's worked out so far....
I'll be graduating with an English degree within the next year. The English grads I know who have already graduated are all struggling. I'm just going to go back to school for carpentry or welding.

Yeah, go teach English in whatever country interests you and gives acceptable pay and conditions. China's a good choice- if you teach at a college/university you'll get lower pay than private language schools, but you should get low teaching hours with plenty of time tonotwrite your masterpiece.

Rhet/Comp or Comp/Rhet is always hiring. Get your PhD and you're good to go for 45K/year for the rest of your life.
