I purchased the Iliad two years ago and put off reading it until about three weeks ago. I just discovered my copy contains a major misprint and is missing 33 pages and 3 books. Should I read the missing pages online or just kill myself?

Lattimore's translation is on LibGen. You should kill yourself for buying books.
>/lit/ says to get Lattimore or Fangles
>got WHD Rouse and Riev translations for Illiad and Oddessey
I'm too powerful for this board

I enjoyed the rouse translation.

>be me
>go to used bookstore
>find what i want for $1
>proceeds go to the local library
>give it to a friend afterward
but you do you i guess
>>9356105
What do you do if you can't find it?
>>9356142
that happens rarely. if it does its probably 6 bux on amazon, but if not my uni library is more or less guaranteed to have it
>>9356153
Why not just go to the library every time? If you're reading anywhere near how much you should be, that's going to add up quite a bit.
>>9356184
because library isnt 24h and i keep weird hours
i also like being able to get up and grab a snack or drink a beer
>>9356184
if the second point doesnt make sense, some books you cant check out, but i guess thats irrelevant cause those are the ones you cant buy anyways
>>9356222
And the used bookstore is 24 hours?
>>9356242
honestly im drunk but
1.) idgaf about one dollar
2.) its closer to where i live than the library
3.) pseudointellectual posturing via my bookshelf

You know how you lick your thumb before turning a page?
That's how my dick smell gets on your fingers, and into your mouth.
If you use books from the library you might aswell lick public toilet seats aswell.

I don't do that, though. Always found it to be a gross habit.
