Come on anon, you can do it. You'll be done with 10 pages before you know it, and you'll have some (yous) to come back to later

most of this thread is probably gonna be memeing but I feel like it is gonna be a struggle for me to read tonight, mainly becauseI'm switching from an audiobook that turned out to be shitty to the actual bookand I'm really not looking forward to it.
it's not even really because I don't WANT to read, I do, but I know that I'm gonna start, and keep looking at what page I'm on, and how much time has passed, and wondering when the chapter ends etc. and I'll probably get like 15 pages done max and it won't feel like enough, because the book is massive and I'm trying to read it in two or three months...
I mean it would be better than nothing of course, any progress is still progress and all that but it just feels so disheartening when you actually do some reading but it almost feels like you didn't read at all...but I know that if I skip one night, I'll be even more likely to skip another, and before I know it I won't be reading at all anymore.
so I guess I'm doomed to taking months to finish one book.
I always read in the shower after waking up for around 30 minutes a day and then before going to sleep for another 30 minutes. This adds up to about an hour a day of reading, while it's not horrible, it's still quite little especially because I read slow. I have read the growth of the soil in around 1 month. The problem is that reading at the day feels very awkward for me, I have other things to do such as shitpost or play video games or work out. I just don't have that feel to just sit down at 2pm and start reading, even though I would like to read more.

i finished off 1984 today. i know people will say it's 'normie' shit or something but i finally got round to reading it this week
I personally haven't read in about a week. I finished Crime and Punishment last, but I'm in a sober living right now and don't get a lot of free time. I need absolute quiet to read.

Define today
I was up until 6:30 am last night, I read about 70 pages and then woke up at 5:00pm. I've browsed 4chin for about an hour.
Its only 11:35am. So far I read the last 67 pages of The Pirates of the Levant, and then The Sunday Age broadsheet.
Yesterday I read the first two hundred pages of The Pirates of the Levant, the Saturday Age, the Weekend Australian, and finished The Man in the Yellow Doublet I forget how many pages that was.
>tfw I have nothing to do and go the library to read all day and then when it closes go to maccas to read for another 4 or 5 hours
