When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert

Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep

I love this poem (brave I know) but the fourth line almost ruins it for me. Maybe it's the use of "Mere," but something about it feels so pedestrian and clumsy compared to the rest of the poem.

In the end no one died, the russians were warned, and trump had a response to the chemical attack, everyone will move on now.
