The white hotel - D.M Thomas
So this was one of those books I picked up knowing nothing at all about and it blew my mind. The changes in writing just makes it such a wonderful book, don't want to spoil it for people who haven't read it.
I'm looking for other similar books but I can't really give any other examples other than The White hotel.
Recommendations?
Come on people

Apparently not.

I'm reading it and it's taking time, sure English is not my native language but that has rarely been a problem. But that book just requires so much concentration from me that a few pages each day is what I can give it.

Thank fuck someone else read it. Read Gordon by Templeton. It's in some ways less fucked up, and in some ways more fucked up. Less poetry and less epistolary, but also more Goethe, and far less opera. Still Freudian.
You my friend now OP forever, you beautiful fucked up thing.

>Adam Curtis quoting Richard Brautigan
ily rn bro in a totally non homo way.
If you can find it, get Brautigan's Willard and His Bowling Trophies. It'd make a nice triology.

I'm too happy to spell. Seriously though, they're all about making art and artifice out of love and sex, and how ultimately mysteries remain, and they're all very good.

I would appropriate less slang since I have some trouble understanding it.
But I will look into your suggestions either way.

Jesus fuck I'm retarded. Please don't let it put you off the books, OP, they really are better than me.

Oooh don't worry, if 4chan has taught me anything it's that the weirdest pile of crap can hide something beautiful.
So I will write it down, don't worry.
