You know, original thought, your best attempt to make meaning out of the random events surrounding you? The whole point of absurdism?
Or are you waiting for other to define derived meaning for you, you fucking pleb?

Camus is shit tier.

He wrote two little novels and a shitty high school essay. How this guy is respected in the least baffles me.

True. I liked how the sunny days and Algeria portrayed. Meursault's thinking procces was very interesting to read. You can clearly see how he feels.

The writing style is very concise but effective; in a way it conveys the numbness of Meursault through its stripping of usual adornments. The journey is a fundamental rejection of prescribed meaning. The woman, the court and the priest all try to force their narrow lens of meaning onto the protagonist and he rejects the constraints of subordinating his individual will to something that is from his own perspective, meaningless. In this sense, Meursault is an embodiment of the absurd because he is opposed to the things which seek to combat it by "making sense" of life.

Don't try too hard with "The Stranger."

Go for "The Fall" and "The Plague" instead. Both are far more interesting.
