Do you guys know images in poetry or prose that present the same idea as this lines from Macbeth:
I am in blood
Stepped in so far that, should I wade no more,
Returning were as tedious as go o'er.
I would like more examples of this, when, in a moment of crisis, a hero or a villain might look back and declare: "I've come too far..." to stop now.

Rime of the Ancient Mariner kinda does this, but it does a lot of things.
but look at other works that do similar things to those lines (because lyrical poetry has less of a concrete narrative about it)
