that's giving her too much credit
>>
Why did slam poetry turn into a bunch of suburban white girls or muslim girls in hijabs whining about how oppressed they are in America?
>>
>>9317788
Slam poetry has always been about whining for people who are not taken seriously.
>>
Literature is dead because of the dominance of the visual arts

The left is out of control. ((( Intellectuals ))) ruined our universities and funnelled our potential geniuses into ideological absurdity. Literature is dead because the left overtook the right and then never stopped pushing "forward".

The loss of art is just a symptom of something deeper, the loss of western civilisation and the loss of ourselves.
>>
>>9317882
This is the truth.

Would make sense if you're talking about the end of the 18th century otherwise you're just a brainlet ideologue

there is just nothing interesting in lives led by our generation, i legit thought tao lin was fresh - sort of an 'autistic prophet', but after 30 pages of tai pei you know what's up.

or mby to write in an interesting/valuable manner about the present requires some kind of sensibility that our lifestyles just kill early, idk

or literary world is still resting, after giving birth to the best book ever written - the famed INFINITE JEST. it was not that long ago, t b h (i haven't read it)

on the other hand i sure would like to live in the 1890-1930 era, /lit/ wise

I would recommend reading Atomised (also known as The Elementary Particles). Houellebecq is a terrible writer aesthetically, but he manages to tap into the current world like no other writer alive.
