Finally got around to dune and quite liked it. first book I read and completed in 2 years after I finally got a job.
are the others worth reading?
Yes, though your mileage may vary. Did you like the book more or less after the tonal shift/reveal? If more, definitely read the rest of Frank's books in the series (you can read the rest in the series written by his son in collaboration with other writers if you want additional closure, but I consider Frank's books a complete work on their own); if less, try the next book in the series and decide from there.
