How the fuck do people read so fast?
>Reading a book
>Autisticly hear everything I read in my head trying to make sense of it
>Get so caught up I end carrying on skimming through only to realise I have no idea what I just read and that I've just stared at a bunch of words
>Go back to where I got lost
Every fucking time anons, I was trying to read The Hobbit on the bus and got so confused I started questioning if I had read something or not saying "my teeth are swords, my claws are spears, my wings a hurricane?" over and over to myself until I made sense of it all.
>he hasn't read thee books so far today
Just pack it up, son.

stop taking stimulants
this describes me as well and i am in 4th year university for english literature
i should probably kill myself but i kind of like reading even if it is really hard for me
Unless you're literally sounding every word out why are you worried about reading speed?

Lol I get what your saying. You get better the more you read. I find challenging yourself can help you get better faster aswell.

Honestly likely, just not diagnosed.
just need more practise, bucko
i get like that when i haven't read in a while
>>9306467
Yeah, well it's the reason that getting diagnosed by adhd is piece of cake. What op is describing is simple lack of reading comprehension caused by not reading much. It's easily negated by actually reading books. Start with easy stuff, ya novels, romances, and then return to lit approved reading.

>Autisticly hear everything I read in my head trying to make sense of it
How is this autistic? Then again, I never forget what I read, or have trouble making sense of it.
