Are there are any text heavy games that could be considered literature?

I found this novel-like game on youtube and felt it was pretty well-written: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-7bhlqLVho

Ace Attorney has well-written individual cases as well a pretty decent overlying structure to tie them all together into a cohesive narrative. The sequels never managed to regain the brilliance of the first game though.

Everyone knows about PS:T, but I heard the main writer for that was working on another title which him and his team got funded on kickstarter. Not sure what happened to that.

The only other well written text-heavy "games" that come to mind for me right now are a few visual novels, and of course those can't compare to the best of the best western lit has to offer. The prose always suffers horribly because of translation, and the structure and subject matter is generally pretty formulaic.

Planescape: Torment
KotoR2: The Sith Lords

Id also put Max Payne much above your average genre fiction and easily on the level of tons of good literature, but MP is a more coherent experience that never forgets being a game instead of focusing on writing and characters like the aforementioned games

I heavily suggest kotor 2 to anyone who likes star wars even a little bit and can appreciate good writing. The characters in that game are absolutely amazing. Link related is something that was posted on /v/ yesterday, although the poster said its still incomplete. Its a piece about one of the main characters of kotor 2, and one of the best female characters of all time in general

I love kotor2 but it isn't really a text heavy game, at least in the sense OP is using it
