If it were rationally justifiable, there would be no faith involved, would there? You are not ready to make the leap of faith until you understand the limits of rationality, and the possibilities of transcending those limits. Read the Bible.

Dumb nigger

I almost did once. It involved robbing a bank, an action that scared the hell out of me. If I did it, it would have been a leap or something, as I had nothing in me that would rationally expect a decent outcome there. Why? Because something was "telling" me to. A totally foreign source that trickled into me at a rapid pace. Hence it was a massive leap/jump to trust it, and do what it was telling me to do despite my best intentions. This is a messed up scenario that doesn't exist in real life. No one goes from zero to fifty in an instant, if you get my meaning.

Start with the Word of God. When you read it, read it to learn how to seek Him with all your heart. If you genuinely do this, and put what you learn into practice, God will come to you.

What is being free, is it rational? There are plenty of dumb ideas out there just panting for your adherence, most of them socio-political, philosophical, scientific. But because ideas of a religious cast 'probably have no bearing on reality' is the BEST REASON to devote your mind to one of them-- do you understand? We know nothing: the religious stance ADMITS this, while leaving you free to think for yourself issue to issue without ever having to refer to an idea or a whole class of ideas the origins of which are the sickly human brain. Evolutionism is fixed, Socialism is fixed, but belief in God is entirely unhinged and therefore leaves (you) free to be yourself by keeping your life wide open to discover what this even is: (you). In other words it makes best sense to accept Evolution as a Christian, as a Muslim, or as a Jew than as an Evolutionist because it means that you always keep the better part of your thinking in reserve.
