its that hard?
Bump for interest, how hard is it compared to GR?
Don't worry about it. Look shit up if it's bothering you. There are good guides on line if you need them too.
Try to just have fun before anything else.
just read it, if you see any concept brought up more than once look it up and you should be good. Also, use a good amount of the Recognitions notes online

It's so enjoyable and fun and accessible that even if you don't get many of the references you'll still have a great time and understand what's going on. I can't get past page 100 of GR and I've read The Recognitions three times. Get ready to meet Otto, the most /lit/ character of all time

That's interesting because I was hooked onto GR from the beginning yet I can't even get past page 100 of The Recognitions. I can appreciate Gaddis's prose at times, but it was so incredibly boring for me that I ended up dropping it. Is the whole book written like that or is it worth picking back up? I was really just bored with how in detail they were going on about Wyatt's past and shit.
Does anyone know where to get a copy that is under $30? Everywhere I've looked for it, it's crazy expensive.

Amazon.
I'm looking at Dalkey editions for 10 bucks used.
You can probably find cheaper, older editions.
