True. But Knausgaard is partly the reason I can't even write anymore. I feel like if I do like Knausgaard did that would just be copying his style, and thus not very sincere. Although maybe the "truthful" thing would be to acknowledge this limitation and do it anyway?

Sincerity in art is overrated. It's why poetry is in such an awful state now, because people care too much about "muh true feelings" rather than focusing on actual technique.
