Is it wrong that I only crave philosophy when I'm severely depressed?

Yes
I'm the opposite. Every time I attempt to study philosophy I get the 'who gives a shit I'm a depressed brainlet anyway' feeling and read poetry for pretty verses instead

Nah, its the best time, philosophy will make you depressed so there's nothing to lose when you already feel that way

See it doesn't have that effect on me at all.
When I get depressed its like I want to fill the emptiness with as many ideas as possible.
The prose doesn't matter at all, I Just want to flood and immerse my brain so it doesn't feel so bad.
And philosophy works better than anything for this purpose.
