Anybody can learn to read quick by reducing the vocalization of words in their head, eye movement, and all that shit, but comprehension dips down significantly after ~400 wpm for most people (meaning the vast majority, including /lit/). Just read books at the pace you feel comfortable with and make sure you understand what you are reading, not just looking at paper with letters on it as fast as you can so you can tell people you read a book.
