What are your favorite Lucifer appearances (or theorized Lucifer appearances) in all of lit, /lit/?
Mine would be Woland from The Master and Margarita or Judge Holden from Blood Meridian.

>Judge Holden from Blood Meridian.
nice b8

How is this bait. He has dominion over the earth. Several references to Satan in Job. "As if he brought the rock with him."
>>9215199
Though I guess that makes him more human than Satan
the blind piano tuner in Ulysses
Mephistopheles > Lucifer
obligatory Paradise Lost post

Judge Holden is an Archon, not Satan. Or the demiurge himself.
The Brothers Karamazov
The Mysterious Stranger. He seems very likeable as a young teenager who mercilessly kills villages

Milton for sure
That first book where he is rallying the fallen angles, fucking spine tingling
>>9215199
When the judge is rallying the Blanton gang on top of the mountain that is a pretty direct allusion to paradise lost
Dante's Lucifer was pretty underwhelming. Just some giant with bat wings chewing on Judas and Brutus and frozen in ice. No personality at all.
Dante's Inferno confirmed for a dud

Yeah Woland is pretty sweet

I want to join him in league with all the ancient protean gods in war against heaven
