What are some books about Buddhism? I really find this religion interesting and want to learn more

Treasures of Buddhism by Fritjof Schuon.
Recently i bought a book called 'Nectar of the Bhagavad-gītā' wich is a synthesized version of the content of the gītā made by some Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda, along with his meditations on the text. Which brings me to the question... are there any texts atribuited to Siddhrtha Gautama?

Didn't the Buddha write his own stuff at one point? Do they still exist?

He gave talks, but I don't think he ever wrote anything. The Pali Canon is the oldest written record of his talks.
