Post a book you're reluctant to read and other try to convince why they should or shouldn't read said book.
Here's my pick: I love To Kill A Mockingbird (I'm a pleb) and I'm hesitant to read this knowing Harper Lee never wanted to really publish it.
I choose this because I have no interest in or reason to learn programming. It's not really my field and I expect the book is rather dry even for those who like that sort of thing. Besides all that, it's Advanced programming and not Beginner programming which would be the logical place to start if you want to make any sense of it, but I've not read that either.
I'm hesitant on reading Les Miserables because it's 1400~ pages and I'm not sure how long that'll take me if it's a slow challenge or if it's thoroughly captivating like Don Quixote. But I want to read it before I see the live show in London this Summer.

If you're interested in the musical you should at least give the original book a good try.

Do not read this. I was sitting in jail, and heard about it. Naturally, I had momma ship it from amazon. Utter disappointment, its very short, but if it was short and good that would work.
But no, it is very short, and reads like some kind of fan fiction. Fuck that. To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my favorites too.
