Let me give you a quick rundown of every woman I've ever had sex with and their literary interests, you can decide which works best for you

>1) virginity girl
>she didn't really read very much
>probably still doesn't
>if she does I can't imagine it's anything good
>2) first love girl
>jewish
>kooky, humorous, funnier than me
>does improv and sketch comedy
>liked vonnegut and PKD
>3) adoragirl
>jewish
>very kind, always smiling, and acted very jewish
>adorable in all respects
>read lots of nonfiction
>would develop weird and highly-original interests, like a book directed at a middle-aged mothers about how to talk to teenage daughters about not dressing like a slut
>4) philosophy girl
>was a philosophy major
>super infp, vegan, empathetic and compassionate to a fault, which I found adorable
>margaret atwood, women authors, one hundred years of solitude type of stuff
>I think I'm still in love with her
>5) one night stand girl
>left a condom with her phone number underneath my windshield
>6) math girl
>jewish
>super diligent and hardworking
>made me laugh a lot, she made a lot of weird faces
>audiobooks, so no help here
>7) witch girl
>jewish
>9/10
>creative writing major, art hoe, kinda fucked up in the head
>fluent in latin
>modernism (especially Woolf), sylvia plath, greek poets
>fucking ruined me, would-not-do-again/10
>8) video game girl
>fluent in two foreign languages
>used to post on this site
>fantasy novels
>9) punk rock girl
>jewish
>art major
>kinda tomboy-ish in her mannerisms, but overall feminine in appearance
>doesn't read

I have a first date with another girl (art-hoe type) in an hour. If you want I'll report back with data on her literary interests and personality.

Well, an actually attractive girl reading de Sade with any feeling other than horror is indeed pretty sexy, But beyond that, I'd immediately get hot and bothered if I saw a girl reading an original Greek or Latin text, especially if it were some obscure Church Father's tract, or one of the more obscure and divisive poets, like Lucan. But most of all I'd like to bury my face in the nether regions of a Hindi goddess learned in the Sanskrit. But really, OP, the whole pretending to be a girl thing is pretty played out.

Philosophy in general - but if you are not interested, don't pretend to be. It'll hit you back in some way, the man will have some resentment for your lure.
However, try avoiding most contemporary philosophers.
Best lure though; Kierkegard, Kant, Hegel, Rousseau (he will be triggered).
I'd like to list Aristotle there, but generally speaking no reader takes him seriously; it comes off as school work.

>Dostoyevsky, any work
>Master i margarita
If you can read some works in their original language, it's bound to be a plus.
>>
>>9153490
Reading Asimov is dangerous. It'll make you respect George Lucas and his vision of Jar Jar.
>>
>>9154410
>I'd like to list Aristotle there, but generally speaking no reader takes him seriously; it comes off as school work.

yeah because immanuel "grammar creates da world" kant and gwf "I'm a prophet not a philosopher" hegel are much better than him right

Jews act like women, though.

>feel eternally threatened by others
>use social signaling and crocodile tears to manipulate others to do things for you or to threaten others
>be tsundere about it all
>lie a lot, don't see an issue with it
>pretend that all fault is in others always and forever
>self centered thinking and world view

I advise somewhat against this. Women who approach throw men so off that we might reject simply because they come off as thirsty.
>>
>>9154501
I can only speak for myself but I love a controlled initiation from the other party...
>>
>>9154501

as opposed to men who are never thirsty?

come off it having every woman on the street come up to them and tell them they want to fuck right now is exactly what every man wants if only for their ego's sake

the only reason they ever act contrary to this is because reverse psychology works or they're just afraid of being tricked or humiliated
>>
>>9154533
While I tend to agree, I think you're making too much of an absolute statement. I can definitely imagine a man turning down a woman that immediately requested sex. It may seem frivolous or lacking intimacy to him. Sure, his ego will probably like it but that isn't the whole of a man.

You don't want to date a literary girl. You better get a girl who is stupid as shit. She needs to be really good at doing your laundry and cooking for you while you're writing the gobbldy gook that comes out of your head. She needs to be stupid enough to support you while you're gambling on the belief that your ideas are good enough. She better suck some good dick, too.

Where are you from?
>>
>>9157356
whew. well let me tell you that it isn't cuckoldry that is the true inspiration for all those great authors, but rather the unrequited love that they're suffering. the bes art comes from mismatched passions, so the contrast can be seen a thousand miles away. i've been through relationships worse than just being in love with a porn addict, and i must say that the deeper the obsession and the stronger the resistance of the one beloved, the greater the work produced. see, if you want to learn how to cut off the tendrils of passion, sure, fall out of love and become a nora
lized person, cynical and dispassionate, resorting to the banalities of life, or if you want to be a human, you give in and cultivate those passions to their purest form and excrete the human pearl you create from that grain of suffering.

>I would swear fealty to such a girl on the spot.
And she would run screaming from you as you cried "m'lady"
>>
>>9156496
There's no singular greentext story but basically she was a manic dionysian dream girl, extremely sexual, almost pornographic. Had a very feminine darkness about her. Emotional and empathetic, but not in a college-liberal (like philosophy girl) kind of way, but in an artist-in-touch-with-her-humanity kind of way. Would literally scream during sex. Did a lot of klonopin also.

I guess there is one anecdote I could relate
>at her house, late at night
>talking a bit about occult stuff (which I'm largely ignorant of)
>I jokingly say "so, uh, how do I summon a succubus?"
>without missing a beat she looks directly into my eyes and says "you already did"
>her tone of voice was like she was both reciprocating my humor with a joke, and sincerely insisting that she was a demon
>practically fucked me with her eyeballs right there and then

I call her 'witch girl' not just because she was into the occult, but because she had an extraordinary effect on my demeanor, almost like she'd put a spell on me. Basically I fell ass over teakettle for her, not in love, but extremely attracted to every aspect of her, almost kinda obsessive. And then one day she just lost all interest in me. She tried to be nice about it, continued to respond to my texts every now and then (with less and less frequency), which made me even more obsessive (who else is she texting? am I uninteresting to her?), neurotic even. One such incident (she was flaking on plans we made) resulted in me having a panic attack; I almost drove to a shooting range to kill myself, since I didn't have a gun. Very little of this was her fault, I was just not very mentally healthy during that period of my life. But even if I was of a stable mind and totally happy with my life I would not want to get involved with her again, her aura's too powerful.

she doesn't understand men, my friend. she never will. in all, she'll suffer from delusions of what a paragon of manhood should be, and constantly suffer from disappointment, it's similar to believing in the innocent maiden existing in the female form.

besides, she probably sees it as an aspect of disloyalty, as though men have any emotional drive to masturbate. if only women could realize that it's like taking a really pleasant shit, utterly essential and sometimes such a hassle that we'd rather not do it, she might someday understand.

Possibly he actually was addicted to porn, or pornographic imagery directed the way he had sex, and this barred them from having intimate sex. Maybe he was always just trying to get off, only wanted very "basic" sex which appealed to the most primal (and superficial) desires, always wanting to do doggystyle. (Is this making sense?)

foulness? well, that which inspires repugnance, of course! much like beauty, foulness is in the eye of the beholder, eh? all those goopy things in a person's eye you know, quite gross. anyhow, if you're doing it during sex, which is typically an act of pleasure for both parties, or is meant to be, and both consent to a good neck wrangling, it's not all that foul, is it? it's more like a very strong hug around a selective area, eh?
>>
>>9158405
Thanks for the rec, my friend. But I wasn't associating choking with "foulness", rather just with intimacy (as you said). The "foul" would just be the sweaty skin-slapping.

>>9158455
you got me there, though i think it's odd more that the consenting adults want that strong hug specifically. anyway, i'm not strange, bud. i'm the control that i use to determine strangeness in others, without some strong sense of normalcy, someone can't ever call people strange or odd. all those people who ask "what's normal" and it's like, cmon, i am, obviously. they really don't have much hope figuring out the important stuff if they can't even figure that out.
>>
>>9158449
>it's more like a very strong hug around a selective area, eh?
Possibly a less tender way of giving someone a hickey (which I love btw).
Moreso it's about domination, the appeal is very separate from the tactile sense. I think its a logical extension of enjoying missionary position.
>>
>>9158488
well, by that measure, fisting is an extension of enjoying the missionary position, albeit a difficult position to manage simultaneously, it's all about the symbolic act rather than the lacerations of the ol' o ring right? ah, us silly guys with your conceptions of sex, no wonder we get so hung up on it all, assigning meaning and whatnot. good thing i'm beyond all that and only have sex in a hermetically sealed vat full of morel mushrooms, to emphasize the lack of meaning in the act, hell at this point i've gotten so good at extracting meaning from it all that once i had sex in the office, with all my clothes on, and no one else around, without any genitalia involved whatsoever. it was great, you know?

>>
>>9158587
the sex i have isn't post-modern, or modern, or classical, or any of those things, assigning genres to my sexual activities would relegate the moments i have to some sort of experience that a librarian would have. no no, in the moment of coitus, it is exactly the lack of meaning that flashes through my mind, the disruption of the flow of thought, the crystal clear instance of silence and nothingness coursing through my noggin, yaknow? i really just can't get myself to shut the hell up any other way, won't shut up when i sleep, i go to bed talking up there, flowing and floating, and i get to sleep, and bam, awake again instantly, time for more thinking, and hell the noggin doesn't always have time to wait, it gets too antsy and just fills that instant with utter bullshit that sometimes lasts far too long. so you can see the idea of an orgasm being a desirable thing. 'course, i hear women's orgasms last longer than men's, which explains a lot about whores not having much to think about, i guess i envy them in a way at that.

Philosophy books are basically the "pewdiepie is my friend" entertainment for wannabe intellectuals

Posting my response from the other thread, as it applies here as well.

>What's the one (1) book I read in front of a woman to attract her? She's like you, /lit/.
I'd like to try and answer this seriously.

If we're assuming the opposite is the true question (what book could a girl read to catch your eye?) then its a very precarious question.
Just because someone is reading a certain book doesn't mean they'll exemplify any special traits. They might be a normalfag poser, a psued, or something else altogether.
The most preferable outcome is of course someone who is reading a book because they are legitimately interested by it and stand to gain some sort of pleasure or knowledge from reading it. Or alternatively, someone who reads a book earnestly, even if the enjoyment or edification to be gained from it ultimately goes over their head, but they set out willing to learn. Honesty is key to both of these good outcomes.
Really what the question seems to be driving at though is "what book would be a good conversation starter for someone of your tastes?", which in my opinion defeats the purpose of reading altogether. If you are the kind of person who reads to flaunt it or portray yourself as someone you aren't, it would be good if you thought about that and tried to fix it.
Besides, there is a chance you attract the wrong type of person, a poser or some such, who likely has nothing great to offer to you.
In summary, I think it is best to read for enjoyment or enlightenment, and if in doing so you happen to meet an interesting person, then that's simply fortunate.

To answer the question directly, although it is as I said precarious, I would go with my philosophy and read something I enjoy or find useful/interesting. I am currently reading Nine Stories by J. D. Sallinger and enjoying it very much. I also have yet to finish Les Fluers Du Mal and Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
So we'll say those three for the sake of the question.

The only girl I know IRL who reads is Bangladeshi. She's absolutely gorgeous, too bad she's married

How do I find a /lit/ boy for myself? I just want someone to read and share books with, it's so depressing by myself.

My current guy friends have few interests outside of video games and internet groups have been really draining with all the memes and general women-hating attitude. I'm slowly learning to accept my spinster fate.

pick a third year college course on either a soft science or a fine art, look for the guy in the room who is trying hard but doesn't belong
>>

>implying /lit/ isn't an internet group in which there are memes and a general woman hating attitude

Shandy's strength is not it's jokes. I think it has more to do with characters, like uncle Toby who's my favorite, and look at their quirks and interactions. Sort of reminds me of Twin Peaks. And the humorous part for me is how it plays with narrative structure which can bend in any shape or form and fit in anything within itself. Stories within stories within actions of characters, passages of other books like Rabelais, numerous references to philosophers, history and other authors. This in itself makes reading Tristram Shandy entertaining, not the constant references but it's narration.

I really hope you could enjoy this book again.

I'm 19, mom says I'm handsome, virgin, will do whatever you want as long as:
-You are moderately attractive
-We live in somewhere warm and sunny

I mean, I'd be attracted to her anyways, but it certainly doesn't hurt that she's reading Joyce.

Finished university years ago, have I missed my golden opportunity? I studied a hard science though, maybe they wouldn't have liked me anyways.

>>9164520
Reading this around where I am would definitely attract the worst kind of attention.

Books will NEVER get you laid, male or female.

This stupid fucking meme needs to die.
>>
>>9164215
as a certifiably /lit/ boy i rarely leave the house other than to work my retail job. so i'd say peruse through your local supermarkets and look for the guy reading delillo behind the cash register.
>>
>>9164821

I dunno. I don't know her that well. Are arranged marriages common in Bangladesh?
>>
>>9166341
Like half
of them are arranged, though rates have been falling.
>>
>>9167327
i guess the fact that you're seeking a /lit/ guy implies your family hasn't arranged a marriage for you, then?
>>
>>9164478
>mom says I'm handsome

does your grandma pinch your cheeks?
>>
>>9167582
mine does :3
>>
>>9167506
Haha yes. They're not concerned about my marriage right now, and they usually say that they're fine with me being single all my life but who knows what will happen in the near future?
