>TFW can't be bothered reading lately.
>TFW already two books behind my yearly goal of 30.
Why read when you can just give up and watch TV?
>set a goal of 100 books this year
>only read 15 so far
>tfw i just started a new full time and I have read only 6 books and feel too tired after and before work
Maybe you should stop trying to reach some pointless 'goals' and read for pleasure?
I'm sick and tired of these dimwits clogging up this board. Normally I'd be all for giving someone the confidence to trudge on and become a better person, but lately I've come to see that either people making these posts are either severely underaged or severely deprived of mental development. Have some fucking willpower, for God's sake. When I seriously got into literature, all it took was a few minutes of lurking to realize that all I needed to do was read. Sure, at first I'd rather put down the book and return to the TV or the computer, but after a while video games seem a nimrod pursuit, and TV is something to do at the end of the day to unwind.
So stop making these miserable posts, start with the fucking Greeks. I recommend Homer, Oedipus Rex, Symposium, and Philoctetes to get you started, along with a healthy mix of entry-level stuff like Steinbeck if you're struggling. But go through all the Greek playwrights, read the Bible, and if you can't do that, then at least stop making these pathetic posts.
Leave it to the big guys, budfriend.

I have to agree with this. You can even get sick of your favorite food if you have to eat it every single day and for every meal.
