How many ECs do you think a single person can fit into a single year? I've had two already since January 1st and I can feel another one coming on already. My record is four (2012) but I think this year I'm going to try and beat it. Is there a maximum to the number of ECs you can have either in one year or over the course of an entire lifetime?
Relevant book recommendations appreciated as always.

You might just be depressed.
My recommendation can seem weird or irrelevant, but ECs always remind me of The Shrinking Man, by Richard Matheson. There's actually this impression the protagonist has, that his life is meaningless and fucked up, and there's a smart understanding and decision he makes at the end. Like, it shows how the meaning of life can only be conquered by the way you interpretate your own situation.
(I may be over-interpretating the book itself, but still)
