I quite liked it. It was nice to not have the political themes so overwhelming like his other stuff, but running with the plot. Give it a go, it's not a masterpiece put it's a fun read.

Its a bit heavy on the anticolonialist tones but i quite liked it.

Also the essays The Prevention of Literature and Politics and the English Language. All the other essays are pretty worthless and the ideas already turn up in his more structured books.
