given that furries throw absurds amounts of money at anything resembling furfagottry, do you think we will see a resurgence of fiction starring animal people within our lifetime? or will it remain niche forever?
btw I have no idea what the size of these rodents is supposed to be, in one page they are collecting eggs on a basket like its nothing and in the next an entire army fits on a single cart pulled by a horse.

>do you think we will see a resurgence of fiction starring animal people within our lifetime?
I don't give a shit

The first book is pretty inconsistent in relation to the sequels.

I think you're overestimating how many furries there are and how much they can swing a market.
Then again, Zootopia.
I loved Redwall as a kid but by like twelve I was already noticing the formula.
>will it remain niche
It will, Redwall only worked because Jacques was a great storyteller.
>size of the animals
Redwall(first book) is the only one which has this problem. Past that, all the animals are around human sized according to the descriptions besides the badgers which are huge and shrews who are small. In Redwall the descendant of the cat king is about the size of an actual cat vs. matthias, same thing for asmodeus and the owl.
I think there were a few more Owlfucks that were actual Owl size, but beyond that Jacques keeps it consistent in the other books.

>furries
Nekopara got funded with nigh a million dollars so anthropomorphic shit is probably going to always be a thing.
>I was already noticing the formula
It's the formula that makes it good anon. Familiarity is what keeps you coming back, the stories were written with that familiarity in mind.

I dunno man, I feel that you do in fact underestimate the amount of furries, especially on 4chan.
I hear there's one in this very thread.

It was me. I dealt it.
I guess Redwall got me in the end.
Who else here was literally raised on redwall? I must have read like a dozen redwall novels when I was young.

>Anthropomorphic animals who undoubtedly have lots of sex
>Some animals are just moral and intelligent while others are vermin
>Main location is a fortress with millions of books
Is Redwall the 4chan manifesto?
the descriptions of food in this series was killer
the feasts man the feasts

Vegetarian food porn, pretty good too.
I did notice the distinct lack of any meat dishes though - always wanted BJ to write a book from the Vermin's perspective, almost got one with that late one with the rat deuteragonist who's taken in by the Abbeyfolk.
