I attended Catholic school from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Huge emphasis on the classical traditions and classic literature. Heavily influenced by religion.

My idea of heaven tbqh
I did, catholic school all my life. We studied Euripides, Sophocles, Aeschylus, Homer and other shit.
How much does private education cost in the US?
In the UK it's around 45,000 dollars a year in many cases.

Huh, we never read Aeschylus now that I think about it....

Honestly, I hated it while I was there, but it was a great baseline education.
I dated a lot of girls who went to private schools and got an insight into their lives
It's interesting how they could technically have read so many interesting things, and yet not have understand, cared about, or deeply accessed any of them
Only a year. Competent teachers, everything and everyone else was irredeemable, simply the least Christian people the world has ever seen, were Jesus in my place they'd crucify him twice, and had I written a diary it'd read like Levi's "If This Is a Man." Yes.

To be honest, I didn't really care about anything I read in private school until my final year.

It's me again. After studying the classics we had a semester when we sudied latin american authors (i'm from Mexico) like García Márquez, Julio Cortázar, Vargas Llosa, Juan Rulfo, Carlos Fuentes, Borges, etc. I really enjoyed it. Do you guys do something similar in your countries?
