because its a classic, entertaining book about a conflict, written 400 years before christ, the second history book atleast in the west.

Nobody says that about Herodotus you dipshit.
There are primary sources (Herodotus) and secondary sources (Decline and Fall). Secondary sources become out of date as scholars find new approaches to primary sources.
Also Herodotus Histories is one of the best books ever written.
