omg, Snow Crash is even worse. Gibson's writing in the Sprawl trilogy is what still holds up, not so much the plot, characters, or dare i say it, science and tech. Snow Crash, on the other hand, reads like a high school writing project.

The prose is still exhilarating and the style still cool as heck. If you're looking for complex psychological portraits, a comprehensible plot, and a dearth of weed-smoking space-Rastas, you'll probably be disappointed, but I thought it was excellent.
