What's the best book/s on Joan of Arc? Biographies, minutes of her trial, whatever is very well-regarded.
The Mark Twain one is an easy read but I'm not really sure how accurate it is.

anyone have a good book on Frederick the Great?
I downloaded Carlyle's, but in his preface he essentially said "this book is shit and outdated so don't read it. I'm only reprinting so pirates don't do it instead"

Mark Twain said that book was his magnum opus. He spent seven+ years doing research before he started writing it.
This film is actually fucking GOAT.

how can we trust the authenticity of a work by someone who spent their entire life being a mocker? you can't trust mockers mate

Carlyle was extremely conservative. The author of the preface is probably just someone who disagrees with him...
yo that movie was fuckin boring
