Pretty good book, describes the horrors of war in the pacific against the Japanese without being cheesy or exaggerating things (as far as I can judge) and is probably one of the best books about war/war memoirs I have ever read.
The Forgotten Soldier by Guy Sajer, a good memoir about a German soldier's experience on the Eastern Front during World War Two. I just finished reading it.

I also btw recommend the memoirs of José María Paz, Argentine General.
Tours of Duty: Vietnam War Stories is what it sounds like: Vietnam War stories. This is one of 3 vietnam memoirs I own and 1 of 22 memoirs I own.
I just finished Through The Maelstrom by Boris Gorbachevsky, which covers the author's war from Rzhev to Silesia and Lower Germany. One of the few Soviet Memoirs that are in-depth in nature.
most of the memoirs I own are Soviet, with 2 German and 2 American.
