>tfw you used to read loads when you were younger but your attention span has got worse as you've got older and now you get bored when reading

Same. I get my wife to read to me now.

How old are you? If you're in your 50s you're beyond saving.
If you're not you can still make it. Reading is an habit, and chances are that your attention span is too low cause of imageboards and too much TV. Internet will do this to you.

Audiobooks work for me.
I like being read to and reading out loud but not to myself alone.
>tfw
I had a bit of a dry spell with this one book I was reading on and off for months now but I just sat down and read the last hundred odd pages today. It's largely about just sitting down and focusing on nothing but the book.

I'm 19 mate. And yeah I guess I'm a product of my time. I deleted all my social media the other week bar Facebook (cause I need it for work/uni) so I've definitely cut down on screen time.

are you actually trying to read stuff you're interested in or are you reading meme books to fit in with /lit/?
>>9021389
Meme books?
>>9021506
Infinite Jest, Gravity's Rainbow, Ulysses, J R, The Recognitions, The Tunnel, 2666, Blood Meridian, Taipei, Stoner, etc.
/lit/ memebooks aren't necessarily bad but they're definitely not all for everyone.
Funny. For me it's the opposite. I used to never read until I was 16 or so. Today I rad about 50 pages a day on average.
