How does one improve their grammar?
Are there any helpful books on the subject?
Is there a website with remedial courses?
I feel that my education was not adequate.

how often do you write?

Rarely. I write essays every now and then for my BA, and in a journal although the journal writing is more of a brain dump with no structure,

well you need to write more to improve your grammar. Get a usage dictionary and consult it every time you have a question. There are millions of grammar books out there. Do some research on which one to get. But really it'd be pointless if you never wrote. How many people get good at math by only reading books and proofs?
i too am mentally retarded
Please recommend American English grammar books/courses.
One would improve their grammar by instructing them in grammar; one would improve one's own grammar by taking instruction in grammar. There're many books on the subject; though I am unaware of any specific website, there are likely websites with remedial courses also.
Education is a process, not a feat.

>American English
Don't do it to yourself, man. American English style guides are notoriously retarded. They usually tell people things like "don't use the passive voice!" because they figure the dumb kids will fuck it up, and STEM faggots will never be in an English course so they can learn to phrase things passively separately to the English department. RL Trask writes some very good books (for Penguin, mostly) on grammar, punctuation, and, basic mistakes in English.

Yeah, I get that, just wanted to know if anyone knew any specific ways that I could exercise my grammar skills and learn things I might not know.

Are you suggesting I write prose? Still, I might write an hour every day but If I'm doing something that I don't know is incorrect over and over again surely it wouldn't help, would it?

Firstly, by not using 'their' with 'one'.
'Their' is third-person plural; 'one' is third-person singular impersonal.
