read some clear and simple short stories to get the basics down.
Kate Chopin's Story of an Hour is about as minimal as you can get without turning into poetry.
Joyce's The Dead shows you how to pace longer works and allow for a variety of different emotional contexts.
The biggest deal is to write shitty stories until plot isn't as scary for you.
Don't be too harsh on youself, until you feel moderately confident. Then be harsh on yourself all over.
