It's pretty good. Making anki flashcards is also great. However, it is better to learn from reading and writing on a regular basis.

read a lot of books, and whenever you see a word you don't know, look up the definition.

Then when you are your daily writing later, try to incorporate the word into your daily writing.

But i won't find as many words as if i explicitly do this vocabulary thing. Besides, english is not my main character.

I've thought about this recently. I used to think looking up words and then writing them and their definition down would be enough, but they need to be used for me to remember them.
