Got this book for Christmas. Is it worth pushing to the front of my backlog?

I want to inseminate that cover.

you wan't to inseminate 200x313 cover?
i wouldn't want to be your friend

depends if it's from someone you care about, and depends on your backlog,
post your backlog so we can judge with better accuracy
It's a pretty good book senpai

I like is one too
The movie is better.
my wife got me pic related for xmas, then stole it from me and read it in an hour (i'm busy with the war and peace read-along). i really like mishima and he might become one of my favorite authors, but i haven't read this book yet. he had the young, troubled perspective of protagonists like dostoyevsky without the Orthodox catharsis at the end.
so, based on his skills as a writer, probably—it depends on what your backlog is, though.

It will take you a day at most to read so why not?
Yes, it's good and you can read it in 3 hours.

It's not earth-shattering or anything, but it kept me interested and thoughtful at every point, and has remained clear in my memory ever since I read it. What more could you realistically ask for from a novella?
I have the same awesome cover on my copy, amd managed to accidentally give the book a bit of water damage. Was upsetting.
how about confessions of a mask? better / worse?
It wasn't as great as I was expecting from it at first. It kind of grows on you maybe.

it's great if you're in conflict with your nascent homosexuality. if you're an edgy millennial, "temple of the golden pavilion" is superior.
how is The Sound of Waves?
