Is minimalism in art a low IQer ADD meme perpetuated by people unwilling to put in the work and who hide behind faux-depth?
I think a phobia of new technology is also a low IQer meme.

Phobia of new technology has been around forever.

yes, pretty much. I'm not saying that efficiency of language is bad, but minimalism as an ultimate style, and minimalists in general, are too dumb to create complex prose and pretend that they are somehow better by putting the arbitrary ideal of scarcity first. Beckett, for example, though a great writer, ultimately chose minimalism because he felt he could never beat Joyce at his own game. Minimalism as an ultimate style is always a settling for less, for mediocrity. It should be used only as a temporary style for effect.

Any other completely irrelevant thoughts you wanna share?
When will this IQ meme finally end?

Could you apply the same logic to something like music? I always felt minimalism was synonymous with low effort and lack of creativity.

Couldn't it also be possible that to be an effective minimalist that you'd have to have proper grasp of the underlying complexity to synthesize the minimalist product?

dumbass
In literature there is something called iceburg theory which is basically the fancy way of saying less is more.
Sometimes if used correctly you can imply more with less.
Sometimes the knock at the door is scarier than the thing behind it.
As for modern art, it is no longer about the finished product but the process, or the concept, or emotion, etc.

Curious how you have the intelligence to form a coherent and persuasive opinion but not the insight to understand its utter stupidity
