StarWars books and comics are are Fan Fic
>>8874479
Well yeah it's licensed fanfic but who gives a shit?
It's not like the series pretends to be high brow or anything.

The entirety of Star Wars is just reheated Joseph Campbell archetypes. It's boring.
It was kinda fanfic-y but I still think Rogue One is the best Star Wars movie since Empire Strikes Back
Sage bc not /lit/ tho

How is it not /lit/?
The expanded universe involves a huge amount of /lit/ you silly cunt.
Star Wars EU book are always complete shit and always irrelevant. By necessity EU stories can never change characters or worlds, because the movies have to, so the stories are always boring adventures that return to the same place they started at.
The whole thing is kind of an autistic mess. When you point out TFA gives no backstory for what's happening, the excuse is that the books will explain it all, however the books are just individual snippets that never progress the story. It's all around terrible storytelling that's purely designed to get people to buy their stupid nostalgia shit
All literature discussion is welcome, however fan-fic is not allowed.

Toilet paper and kindling are not /lit/
>That comfy feeling while reading /lit/core and SW novels simultaneously
>Your doctorates in philosophy and masters in English hanging in your office right next to your Episode IV theatrical poster
Feels good, bros.

t. someone that takes the official narrative of the original trilogy at face value and doesn't critique the source text itself
