Im actually writing my own novel, im planning it to be huge, with a universe and with its own mithos. I can write dozens of stories out of it, but im inexperienced with fantasy books. The main novel occurs in a present time, but the society is kind of different; it interacts with different species, inteligent species, like gnomes, lizards, wizards and normal people. But then a war begins nobody knows where. I want to depict giant beings, like interstellar beings, divine and demons from other universes, but i dont really know how. The characters are a team, loosely inspired in japanese shit, and fantasy stories ive read though the years.
What are your thoughs, /lit/? What should i do to begin with?

I'm going to be honest with you anon and tell you it sounds terrible, bad even for fantasy fiction.

maybe read some Lovecraft
To be honest the only interesting idea you have there is the 'war started for unknown reasons'
fuck these losers OP
keep reading and hit up the crit threads when you've got literally anything that sorta kinda whole
you just gotta dive in, you may go off on a tangent elsewhere, come back and realize what you had initially was shit. you just need to start

nobody here is going to give you legitimate critique on a fantasy piece

why promote unoriginal ideas? I like that OP is creating new mythos. Even if OP turns out to be a shit author with shit ideas it is still nice to see an effort put toward not trying to be tolkein 2.0

I've seen it happen plenty of times, just needs good prose and/or poetry
