Did I fall for the meme? Stirner's a hack, how did he become so influential? Why did Marcel Duchamp like him? Is Marcel Duchamp a hack too? What am I even supposed to believe in anymore? Are all German philosophers this shit?
>stirner influential outside of /lit/
>dumb frogposting
>stupid 'question' that is clearly just to rustle people who like german philosophers

>implying stirner wasn't influential
He had a massive impact on marx who is about as influential as you can get. Not to mention Nietzsche.
Also, he was in Joyce's library, so you can assume that Joyce had at least read him.

There's no proof that Nietzsche ever read Stirner though
>its an "he doesnt understand stirners implications and thinks egoism means do any edgy thing," episode

>he cant evade

Even if you want to contend that, his influence on Marx alone is enough to make him notable and influential. Then there is his influence on Jünger and Camus. Not to mention he's a pretty key figure in anarchist though.
I'm just arguing that this meme of Stirner being someone unknown is unfounded.
Yeah, most people aren't going to know who he is, so he's fairly obscure in that way, but he isn't someone unknown figure with zero influence on later thought.
